GOOD NEWS ! Lulu went to the vet yesterday for blood work and an x-ray. The x-ray revealed that her cancer has not spread to her lungs, which is great news ! The x-ray also showed that her heart and lungs and all of that is in great shape too. Her blood work came back and was also great, her liver and kidneys are fine along with other things. Because of all this good news it has now confirmed that Lulu is healthy enough to get the surgery she needs to continue living. Lulu is only 7/8 years old and the life expectancy of a Dachshund is about 14 – 17 years so with this surgery she will be able to live many more years as a healthy happy dog. Lulu appreciates all of you that have donated so far, unfortunately the donations have slowed down and we’re only 52% there. The surgery will be about $1,400 and the site shows the goal is $900 so please at least share the page and spread the word if you cannot donate. You can honestly donate just a dollar if you cannot afford much more; a dollar is so much more than you think especially if a lot of you donated at least a dollar. Lulu is feeling good and will need to make the appointment for her surgery hopefully soon but she cannot if she cannot afford it so once again thank you and please spread the word and/or donate. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lulu-s-mastectomy-fund/x/2371652
